Lay Leaders
The church council is the primary governing body of the congregation. The Council encourages ministries that are consistent with the church's values, beliefs, vision and mission. The Council makes strategic plans for the church's long-range goals, coordinates the work of the church's various ministry teams and it approves recommendations for the annual budget. The Church Council usually meets quarterly. Members of the Church Council are also members of the Charge Conference, which meets at least annually. The Church Council is composed of twelve "at large" members elected for three year terms; the church's Lay Leader(s); and persons representing various ministry teams.
