A few years ago I unwittingly became a runner. I say unwittingly because I made fun of runners before I became one. I loved to run and play as a child, but there had to be a good reason for me to run. I was chasing a ball or trying to catch a Frisbee - some form of goal or prize. To run simply for running's sake seemed to me... well... stupid and pointless.
