Retreats
There are many weekends when the youth are invited to take part in retreat settings. This may be at the church, at a conference camp, or at a weekend conference. These are great times for the youth and adults to bond and to grow together, while also retreating from our everyday routines and reflecting on our priorities.
Spring Retreats and Parties!
'09-'10
30 Hour Famine: Feb 26-28 at Lakeshore
Come help raise money, food, and awareness for the World Visions Hunger campaign. 30 Hour Famine will be at Lakeshore again this year. Brace yourself for a weekend full of fellowship, laughter, fun activities and NO FOOD. Everyone is asked to begin their fasting on Friday after lunch however we will not be meeting at FUMC until 5:30 Friday night. On Saturday 6:00 PM we will break our fast and have a magnificent feast at Lakeshore. We will retrun Sunday at 3:00 PM.
$10 Prom: Sunday, April 18th 5-7 PM
We will be having another $10 Prom this semester! so bring out your mom's tackiest dress or your dad's sweet plaid pants. And come dressed in your hottest Good Will costume ready to dance! Only rule... your outfit must be under $10! See you there!
Super Bowl Party: Feb. 7th 5-9ish
We will be having our Annual Super Bowl Party with the best set up in Jackson TN. Bring lots of friends and we'll provide the rotel dip! Dinner and drinks will be provided but we are asking if you have the last name A-M bring desserts (cookies, brownies, cake...). N-Z bring snacks (chips, veggies, fruit, popcorn...). The games room and the gym will be open with lots of opportunities for fun!

Mystery Spring Event 2010: March 26-27
This year since everyone has conflicting spring breaks we will be having a Spring Mystery Event 2010on the Friday and Saturday of March 26-27th. Be Listening for more information.
Fall and Winter Retreats:
'09-'10
This fall we will be heading to Lakeshore UMA for a great weekend together. We will be meeting at the church at 9:00 AM on Saturday morning to head to Eva, TN. We will have a full weekend of fun , games, fellowship and worship. We should all look forward to a weekend to get away and enjoy God's creation at a place that everyone loves. We wil stay in the Hope Lodge that Saturday night, and we will pack up and get back to the church by 5:00 PM on Sunday, November 1st. You will also need to make sure that you have an updated Medical Release Form on file at the church.
Break Thru Winter Retreat:
This winter we will be returning to Springville, Alabama for one of the years most spiritual and fun trips ever!! FUMC will take a charter bus down to Alabama where the fun is sure to be in top supply. This year Dutton will be back as our fantastic paise and worship leaders along with Stuart Hall who will provide God's word and lessons throughout the week. Last year we played nasty/grossly fun messy games, played on tons of blow up games, rocked out to Dutton, and were illsionaized by Jered Hall the Illusionist. Sign ups being...NOW! So come down to the youth office or get your form online and turn it in by Oct. 25th. The cost is $150 it will be due November 29th anytime after the cost will be $175. Updated Medical release forms will be required.
