Sunday Night UMYF

The Current on Sunday Nights:

The Current meets every Sunday night from 5 - 7 p.m. This is a time for those in 7th-12th grade to come together and have fun, get into some discussion, have a devotional thought, sing praise and worship songs, participate in skits, and enjoy fellowship together.

We will be starting up Current UMYF Sunday January 10th at regular time!

PARENTS we need help with dinners please contact Adam Simpson or Kelsey Padgett in the youth office.

The Last day of UMYF will be May 2nd.

“Dinner Out”:

On these Sundays, the youth are asked to come right at 5 p.m. so we can begin with our program. We will end the programming very near to 6:30 p.m. and then travel together to a pre-determined restaurant for dinner together. Parents are asked to pick up their kids at 8 p.m. at the restaurant on these nights. 

Dates for Dinner Out during spring semester: Jan 31st, Feb 14th, March 28th, April 25th.

Sunday School:

We currently have three Sunday School Classes for the youth in our church, all of which are grounded in the Holy Scriptures. These each meet at 10 a.m. each Sunday.

April 4th - Easter Sunday - No Youth

6th Grade Class

The 6th grade class meets in Rm. #306 and is led by David Horton. This class is held in conjunction with the Confirmation class offered on Wednesday evenings to those in 6th grade.

Confirmation Sunday will be April 11th!! This is so exciting because the 6th grade confirmands will be able to transition from confirmation into the youth group at both the 9am and the 11am services. Please come and support our new Current memebers!

Middle School Class (7th and 8th grades)

The middle school class (7th and 8th grades) meets in Rm. #305. This is a class that incorporates active participation along with meaningful discussion.

High school class (9th-12th grades)

The high school class (9th-12th grades) meets in the youth lounge, Rm. #300 and is led by youth staff.

Worship:

There are two worship services offered each Sunday morning.

• 9:00 a.m. First Awakening is a less formal, blended worship experience that takes place in Clayton Hall.
• 11:00 a.m. Late Worship is a more formal and traditional worship experience that takes place in our Sanctuary.
