Youth Missions and Outreach

Throughout the year there are a number of opportunities for the 6th-12th graders to be involved in service to others. The 6th grade class participate in projects together as part of their Confirmation experience. The 7th-12th graders have mission trip opportunities away from Jackson during spring break and in the summer. They also take part in a number of service opportunities in our church and across the community throughout the year.

Reelfoot Rural Ministries

This experience takes teammembers to Reelfoot in northwest Tennessee where many minor home repair projects are in need of willing hearts and available hands. During our time their we might help to shingle a roof, build a wheelchair ramp, put up sheetrock paneling, or paint the outside of a home. We go to serve and put our efforts where we are most needed.

Senior High Summer Mission

Our Senior High Summer Mission experience is also a week-long experience and is typically held at a location out of state. This experience is also hands-on and is led by dedicated adults. This summer the senior high mission trip will be to Camp Barnabas in Missouri. It will be July 6- July 13. The deadline to sign up is March 12 but space is limited so see Drew Sher or Adam Simpson for more information soon.

Middle School Summer Mission

Each summer our Middle School and High School youth spend an entire week involved in some worthy mission experience. The setting for this experience is typically limited to a regional location and is led by dedicated adults. This summer we will be going to Confrontation Point in Middle Tennessee for some Home Repair. It will be June 8-14 and the deadline to sign up is March 12. See Drew Sher or Adam Simpson for more information.

Spring Break, Spring into Action

This mission experience is typically held during spring break of each year and gives the youth an opportunity to experience the diversity of culture in the area as well as serve a community in numerous ways. This year it will be March 16-19. See Drew Sher or Adam Simpson for more information.
